Video: Using an LCD to display a movie on both the projector and monitorThis is a featured page

In order to view video on both the monitor (computer screen) and the projector (LCD -Eike) you must configure the video card to allow this. Not all computers at Shen are capable of doing this. The newer model computers (optiplex 745) are equipped with an ATI card capable of doing this. Look for a small ATI icon in the system tray down by the clock. If the icon is there, right click on it and choose Catalyst Control Center.

Click Basic setup. Now Select the easy setup wizard and choose Setup my display configuration.

On this screen you should see that you have two monitors connected, one on the left and one on the right. The default choices should be fine, click next.

Choose clone screen if you'd like the image to be the same on both monitors. Don't forget to check the box at the bottom of the screen to select how video will appear on the second display. Click next.

There are a few options here but by far the most popular is to select standard dual mode on the left and full screen on the right (as per illustration). Then select the Match Source video button and select next. Select finish if prompted.
